Advancing Sustainable Energy Generation

Kibo Energy PLC is a multi-asset sustainable energy development company developing projects within three focus areas: sustainable energy, reserve power and long duration energy storage.

Our strategy is simple: to provide solutions that almost immediately address the acute power deficits in Sub-Saharan Africa and the UK by acquiring and developing sustainable energy assets that can be brought into production within a 18-month timeline.

By using an approach that holistically integrates sustainable energy generation and energy storage technologies, we have positioned ourself in the market as a significant regional broad spectrum energy developer.

We are currently developing reserve power and waste to energy projects, while identifying other project pipelines in sustainable and long-duration energy storage. The approach on the development of these projects is to advance certain well-developed assets to early production as a high priority, followed by longer-term development assets.

We benefit from strategic partnerships with international blue-chip partners, which includes: SEPCO-III (China), General Electric (USA), Lesedi Nuclear Services (South Africa), and Hogan Lovells International LLP.

Kibo has a dual listing: AIM market on the London Stock Exchange and the AltX on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.

Reserve Power

We firmly support the UK, as well as other regions in the world’s transition to renewable energy sources. The reserve power market aims to prevent future shortages by balancing out the national grid at critical times and thereby reducing future blackouts events. Long Duration Energy Storage

Long duration energy storage refers to a system that can store energy for more than 4 hours. It is a key technology that will make the world’s transition from fossil fuels a reality through stabilization of grids. We are partnering with industry leading energy storage developers to provide these solutions.

Staying true to the approach of integrating sustainable energy generation, Kibo has made significant investments into entities that contribute to the energy value chain:

Mast Energy Development – Reserve Power

Kibo holds a 33.15% interest in MAST Energy Developments Plc (‘MED’) , a LSE listed (Standard List) company targeting the development and operation of flexible power plants to service the Reserve Power generation market in the UK.

Katoro Gold – Battery Metals (Nickel), Gold

Kibo holds a 8.42% interest in Katoro Gold Plc, an AIM listed exploration company, Katoro Gold PLC (AIM:KAT), the strategic and precious minerals exploration and development company. The approach to sustainability for Kibo goes beyond energy generation.
